Webelos Year Overview

Webelos Overview
The Webelos years are the transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. As such there is an increased emphasis on outdoor activities and skill sets. Several of the badges require time outdoors, as such they are best suited for completion in the summer or late spring. We will save badges which can be done indoors for the Fall/Winter.
Webelos is broken into two years, Webelos 1 and Webelos 2. Each year has its own requirements and end point.
Webelos 1:
•Earn Fitness and Citizen badges and One other badge from a separate group
•Understand requirements to be a Boy Scout
•Complete Faith requirement with family/church
End point: Earn Webelos Badge by Blue/Gold in Feb 2013

Webelos 2:
•Additional Boy Scout requirements
•Earn Readyman, Outdoorsman, and 3 other badges
•Visit Boy Scout meeting or camp trip
•Participate in Webelos overnight camp trip or hike.
End point: Earn Arrow of Light by Blue/Gold Feb 2014, cross over to Boy Scout.
